Lunch with Noel today and afterward we hit some of our usual stops for holiday shopping. 

First up was Victory. 

It was fun to see all the glittery and sparkly items.

I didn't pick up this house as it was rather expensive. I'll see if it's still around when we check out their after-Christmas sale.

However, I did pick up this charming ornament...

..as well as this festive wreath.

This guy made it out for the first time in years. He was a Target stores promotion years ago, probably as far back as the early nineties.

Warren invited Dale and me over for a post-Christmas gathering with Gary at his place. He made a lovely turkey meatloaf and we watched the Judy Garland episode of The E! True Hollywood Story. 

His place was decorated more than I remember it being in recent years.

Bought this cute little guy about 16 years ago from the school secretary at the school I was working at at the time. Her name was Tammy and she and her mom made these and sold them.

Made dough ornaments out of cornstarch, baking powder, and water (see full recipe below). I'll hang them outside in the garden. They need to dry overnight so we'll see how they turn out.

Christmas Day 2011 - The (Finally) Finished Tree

I've been working on getting the tree trimmed over the course of the past week. Because I had school all the way through the 23rd I've only been able to add the decorations sporadically. The star was finally added today just before Mom got here for dinner. It's been nice to see the fully decorated tree in the daylight. Last week I was only seeing the tree after dark due to work.
