The 12th Day of Christmas - 12 Drummers Drumming
Exhausting day at work. Laid back 12th Night here at home. Got a number of Christmas decorations and tchotchkes put away. I'd like to have it all packed up by bedtime tomorrow.
Light dinner of salads but had dessert to celebrate 12th Night.
Read this little book tonight. Very sweet. It reminded me of how much I loved Peanuts as a kid.

The 11th Day of Christmas - 11 Pipers Piping
Got home from work a little earlier than usual and had a cigar in the garage. First cigar of the New Year.
Not much else going on tonight. Dale had to work a little later than usual.
Lit the candles.
Turned on the lights.
And tried to enjoy the atmosphere during the waning days of the Christmas Season.

The 10th Day of Christmas - Ten Lords A-Leaping
Tonight I made my own Christmas craft. It was about as easy to make as it could possibly get.
You put some sugar in a canning jar and stick a Peep in it. I went with the Christmas tree Peep.
It made Sylvester quite curious. He's curious about many of the things I've been setting out but he usually loses interest pretty quickly. Except for the tree. He knows knawing on the branches pisses us off but he only really does it to let us know he's getting hungry. Our boy knows how to get a reaction.

Dale and I both went back to work today. I think Sylvester liked having us around during our break. He liked to be on our laps a lot. I think he does just fine without us though. He sleeps a lot especially the late morning until the afternoon.

The 8th Day of Christmas
Also took the snowmen on the porch and boxed them back up.
And put some deer and bottle brush trees up instead. Again, I don't have enough room for everything so I'm having to rotate stuff.
Listened to The Nutcracker this afternoon. Dale and I both enjoyed it.
