Holiday Season 2021 - Holiday Wedding

Saturday, December 19, 2021

Just got home tonight from our friend Alyn's wedding to her new husband Bill. They had a lovely still, clear, peaceful, cold but at least not windy, evening for the wedding which was held at the conservatory in St. Paul. A nice blanket of snow covered the ground. It was nice running into some old acquaintances and friends including Eric V.

Oh, and the moon was full. The December full moon is often referred to as the Cold Moon. Since it's the only full moon in December and pretty close to the big day I'll call it the Christmas moon.

New Year's Eve 2013

We went to the house of our friends Alyn and Chris for New Year's Eve. Our mutual friend Eric was there with his new beau, John. Chris made beef stew for dinner which was quite tasty. Eric brought tirimisu for dessert and we brought the champagne. We had a great time and left around 10:30 so they could get their son, Ellis, to bed.

Top right: Alyn lines their front walk with luminary bags. Quite festive.

Middle: Chris built a lovely fire in their fire place. Very cozy.

Bottom right: Champagne.

Left: We were home from Alyn and Chris's house by about 11:00. It's been a few years since Dale and I have stayed up until midnight. We weren't planning on it this year but as we all know, sometimes even the best laid plans...

Below: Eric's tirimisu.

New Year's Eve 2013 Part 1

We're going to the house of our friends Alyn and Chris tonight. Another friend, Eric, and his new beau will be there as well. Alyn and Chris asked Eric to bring dessert and he posted the above picture on Facebook stating that he'd be bringing tirimisu. We're bringing the champagne (okay, sparkling wine). Hopefully three bottles will be enough.
