Christmastide 2021/2022 - Summary

Wednesday, February 2, 2022

It's been quite a year. Overall 2021 was a little better than 2020 but there were still quite a few challenges. The January 6th insurrection a little over a year ago. A return to in person learning in February 2021 after most of 2020 in distance learning due to the pandemic for most of 2020. Climate records. Crazy politics. Sometimes it feels like the whole world is falling apart. However, there's always hope. Christmas is proof of that.

Lots Going On Today

Wednesday, February 2, 2022

It's 2-2-22. There's a lot going on today. Candlemas...

Feast of the Presentation...

Groundhog Day. Word is there's 6 more weeks of winter.

Laid back evening. Salmon open face  and leftover gingerbread cake.

Imbolc 2022/St. Brigid's Day

Monday, February 1, 2021

Happy St. Brigid's Day. Also, Happy Imbolc, the Celtic first day of spring. I read today about a legend that St. Brigid turned bathwater into beer.

Quiet evening at home. For dinner Dale and I had chicken and ravioli, one of my favorites, and we watched an episode of the old Carol Burnett Show.

Sylvester, the Christmas Cat, continues to get more comfortable in his new home. He also seems to get more adorable as well. This photo captures some of the bluish afternoon winter light although this shot makes it look more blue than it actually is.
