Christmas Season 2024/2025: The Twelfh Day of Christmas & Twelfth Night

 Sunday, January. 5, 2025

Haven't been to church since Advent due to travel and illness. Finally made it during the Christmas season for the Second Sunday of Christmas. Sang lots of good hymns including Once In Royal David's City, Gabriel's Message, What Child Is This, In the Bleak Midwinter, and The First Noel.  Good to be back.

Dale and I had brunch at The Howe afterward.

We headed to the grocery store and then home. I had a cigar and Dale went to the gym.

Listened to music.

We’re celebrating 12th Night tonight.

We lit lots of candles.

We made a chicken pot pie and it was delicious.

Watched Big Bang Theory and ate gingerbread cookies for dessert.

Christmas Eve 2017 - Church Service

Sunday, December 24, 2017

Our Christmas Eve church service was lovely. The singing of carols beautiful. Dale and I were 2 of the 3 Kings in the Christmas pageant.  Here I am with my buddy Emma who played the lead angel:

After the service there was a visit from St. Nicholas. He passed out bags of treats to the kids. I took advantage of getting a photo op with him. Took 50+ Christmases to finally see him on Christmas Eve but I guess good things come to those who wait!!

Advent 2015 - Third Sunday of Advent

Sunday, December 13, 2015

We took a break from our church so as to see our godson Ellis play in his church's annual Christmas pageant. It's pretty hard for little kids in cute costumes to mess up even if they mess up. They're just too adorable. Ellis was a lamb just like last year. He also had a piano solo and played O Come All Ye Faithful. He did a great job. No mistakes and because we sat up close we could see he was keeping time with his feet. He and Alyn were tickled we could make it.
