Holiday Season 2021 - Climate Change

Wednesday, December 15, 2021

Fifty-seven degrees? Rain? In December? The fog added to the eeriness of the whole thing. Still, I felt I had to take advantage of the situation and take a walk with a cigar.

Holiday Season 2021 - December Cigars

Thursday, December 9, 2021

Got home a little earlier than usual after work.

The cooler December weather has had me retreat to my attic cigar lounge. I say cooler because this has not been a particularly cold December. In fact, I'm guessing it'll end up being one of the, if not the, warmest on record. It just doesn't feel right. Damn climate change.

Regardless, it's still chilly enough to send me inside.  Top photo is from today. Below is from December 5.

The leather helps keep the smoke from permeating my shirt and hair.

Holiday Season 2021 - It's Beginning to Look [at least a little] Like Christmas & St. Nicholas Day Too

Sunday, December 5, 2021

Went to Warren's house last night for dinner. He made brats and pierogis and I brought some coleslaw from Lunds. We watched Tick Tick Boom with dinner. As I was getting ready to leave for the evening at around 10:30 we realized it had snowed during my time here. These photos show what it looked like this morning. It's good to see a little snow. It's December after all.

And on the eve of St. Nicolas Day I'd like to acknowledge my Mom who brought the tradition of leaving our shoes out and the finding an ornament in our shoes the morning of December 6.
