Noel and I did some more pre-holiday reconnaissance shopping today. We checked out some of our favorite Linden Hills shops starting with Bibelot. Now it was news to me when Noel broke it that Bibelot is closing. I was shocked to say the least. The shop has been around at least as long as I have and a Twin Cities tchotchke shop institution and has fit into my holiday shopping ritual for years. I learned that it had been up for sale but the owner couldn't find a buyer so just decided to go out of business. All good things must come to an end I guess. Bibelot had a good run.
Picked up a sweet little book on the Nativity and also mercury glass ornaments. You can never have too many of those, right?
